I’ve seen people say ‘Wish I could watch AOT for the first time again’, I wholeheartedly disagree with this statement. After having watched AOT 20+ times I can assure you it gets better every time. Unrivaled replay value. I enjoy the show so much more now than I did on my first watch, only possible because of Isayama’s genius storytelling. I’m nervous as well😳

Miche's death is one of the hardest for me to watch. And asking why he's still worshiping the wall and protecting his secrets after his congregation was taken out, not saying its a cult, but that's the kind of unwavering devotion to one's beliefs that you see in a cult. And it was never about the fur or long arms for me with the beast titan, it was how its got some defined upper abdominals stacked on that beer gut. Also I will never not laugh at the titan that looks like an uncomfortable man trying to hit on someone in a bar.

i’ve been looking forward to this all day! as they have been for you, your ova reactions have also been barely holding me over lol now that you’ve seen 2x1, do you have any predictions for the upcoming episodes in this season? are there any questions that arose from s1 that you’re hoping to be answered here? what do you think about the beast titan now that it’s finally been introduced? this season is tied with 3 for my favorite of the series, i certainly hope you enjoy it as much as i have! good luck on the ride, it’ll definitely be a fun one :)

I don't believe that this constitutes as a spoiler because it can be inferred from information given in season 1. In the short story about the miner trying to dig underneath the wall and reach the other side, it is said that eventually he finds that the wall also has a floor (at least near the wall where he was digging.) Seeing as the wall is 50 meters and the titan inside's face lines up to the top of the wall, it can be assumed that the titan inside is actually a 60 meter titan like the colossal, that has been dug 10 meters inside the earth. This explains that the floor of the wall could be the feet of the 60 meter titan inside the walls, as it has been dug down. This also explains why the 60 meter colossal titan could look over a wall made out of 60 meter titans, its because the wall titans are dug 10 meters in the ground, making the walls 50 meters, short enough for the colossal titan to peer over. (sorry about my name, its an old email.)

To clear up the time confusion, yes, the titans appearing in wall rose occurred 12 hours before the conclusion of Eren and Annie's supa titian fight. The reason that Armin only tells Eren after the fight is because news was very slow to travel from the cadets with Sasha, Connie, and Reiner to wall sina with Eren because the messengers from the cadets would have had to travel vast distances to Eren's group with only horses. Thus, it took about 12 hours for the news of the titans in wall rose to reach wall sina.

I've rewatched this a few times already, and somehow this is first times I noticed some things I never did before... I don't want to say more as I don't want to spoil but you guys definitely need to rewatch after you finish the whole anime, there's tons of things you won't understand until you finish it. I have never rewatched AOT and I realised that I watched seasons 1-3 as a teenager, and in my teenage mind, of course there would be parts I would not get, but I would just overlook them. I didn’t really catch and comprehend every detail, but the way you both pause and rewind to talk to each other and better understand the situation really helps me refresh my memory and comprehend whats happening as well. There are also many scenes where it feels like it is my first time watching the show with you guys lol.

Omg WHAT was this episode. Not Miche!!! Also that beast Titan has to be a human right? It said something along the lines of “I know that you know WE reside in the nape”. If it is a person, they’ve had this ability for a longggg time to be fluent in Titan form AND in charge of the others. This is insane! Can’t wait for the next episode. To explain why they kept the 104th cadet corps locked up in a house. Meaning the whole time like Sasha, Connie, Reiner, Bertholdt, Christa and the rest of them. Is because after they found out Annie was a titan the survey corps suspected there to maybe be more titan shifters amongst the group she trained in. So they kept the group in a house without manuever gear or uniforms, so they cant escape or fight. But then titans came so they ruled out that none of them are probably titan shifters so they had to evacuate as quick as possible and didn't have time to gear up

Holy Hajime indeed!! Lmao awesome reaction as always! But to help y'all out a bit concerning the time-line, all of this is going on at the same time Eren and friends were dealing with Annie. Keeping Connie, Reiner, Sasha etc. on house arrest basically was all part of Erwins plan to capture Annie. He suspects other human titans to be apart of the military so he had this group in plain clothes in case they tried anything funny. But after wall rose was breached, Miche came to the conclusion that our recruits in the 104th aren't working with Annie. If you watch closely, you'll notice that it's day time when Miche's group is on screen and night time when Erwins group is on screen. It took til night for word of Rose falling to reach Erwins group. Hope this helps!!

Hi! Thank you for Season 2 x 1!!!!!!! Let's gooooo!! The time period is right when Eren and them fighting Annie. That was in the same time as when Miche met the Beast titan. Oh, and Nanaba was the soldier that was standing on the tree with Crista when they were at the forest of the giant tree. About Levi's spin off, it is actually a full color art book of Isayama's coming out in April! The spin off is the bonus manga coming with it. I'm so exited to get it too!! Season 2 will run though like a wind, hang on to it! Have fun and take care :)

My (and a lot of people's) interpretation of Miche's death was that it was depicted in such detail because the gap between season 1 and season 2 was so long (4 years), so they made sure to make it extra gruesome and detailed to remind the audience that this is the reality of the show and it's still just as brutal as it was in season 1. Thanks to that, I can't get the image of his head being ripped off his neck like a piece of meat out of my mind, nor the fact that his torso was stretched and split like a party popper.

I also interpreted Miche's death as a sort of warning from Isayama regarding the way he treats characters in this show. The consequences are very real for every character, and just because Miche's "skill was second only to Captain Levi" doesn't mean he was any safer than anyone else. Unfortunately, he was caught very off guard by the Beast Titan and the other 3 titans. I'd have love to see him later down the story regardless.

They'll pause whenever and wherever they want, and it's better for them because if they watch it without pausing and trying to break things down, they might miss some things. The pace they've been going at is great. Their theories are interesting to listen to for people who know the entire story as well.

I’m sure the reaction will be still be hype, just sayin it would probably be better and they would be more anxious if they don’t pause. Okay re-watched but skipped the last part: Are Connie, Sasha and the rest of the cadets near Trost? Because it only says ‘12 hours earlier, South of Wall Sina’. And in my own notes, I wrote that Trost is south as well.. Also, unless I missed it before, Im not sure if it was mentioned where Stohess is or like which direction. I think my brain is only trying to calculate how far is Stohess from where the cadets are.. was it mentioned before but I missed it?

Stohess is the eastern “nub” city of Wall Sina (innermost wall). And Trost is the southern nub of Wall Rose (middle wall). The scouts being held without their gear are currently in the southwest portion between Wall Rose and Wall Sina. Also, just FYI, Ehrmich is the southern nub city of Wall Sina

Holy Hajime is truly the right expression lol 🤣 omg im soooo excited for y’all to react to the 2nd season, one of my fave seasons ever !!! tbh i watched the ova about ilse’s notebook for the first time along with y’all, so i had NO IDEA (and i’m still shook) that they showed a titan speaking before in an ova. for me this episode was the first time ever i saw a titan speaking and i was truly in shock in terrified when it happened hah 😭 miche’s death was so brutal, and it’s even more shocking after they said his skills are only second to levi. what a great soldier. aaaa… i truly can’t wait for you to get to the rest of the season IM SO READY 🙌

I have a history of unfortunate timing with shows, so for some reason I always end up watching the creepiest episode at night! I can’t even avoid them since I don’t know it’s coming😭 this episode and the game of thrones episode where the night king grabs bran’s arm both landed at night for me and I couldn’t sleep with the lights off afterwards and I’m 24😭
