Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Amulet of the Mirrored Mind  — An agate amulet is in the shape of an animal that shifts shape depending on what angle it is looked at. You can cast polymorph on yourself, as well as prevent mental ability score changes if targeted by an effect that would otherwise change them. You can also cast the awaken spell, granting the target your Intellegence, Wisdom, and Charisma ability scores.

2)  Aweigh  — An armor with a winch built into one shoulder with a rope and anchor attached to it. While wearing the armor in water, you sink quickly to the bottom and can freely walk along it. The anchor can also be used as a warhammer that has the thrown property, which allows you to anchor yourself to a solid surface. You can then recall the anchor to a free hand or drag yourself to an unoccupied space next to the anchor.

3)  Ankheg Mandible  — A large ankheg mandible has been fashioned into a shovel-like sword. It deals extra acid damage on a hit and you can use an action to excavate a 5-foot cube of loose earth.

4)  Ward and Seal  — A light hammer and warhammer, bound together by magical forces. When wielded together, they grants various bonuses such as additional damage, learning the spells the creature can cast, or preventing a creature from casting a specific spell for a short time.

5)  Venatio's Horn  — A brass horn bearing the images of gladiators battling great beasts. You can use it to create a special arena within a cylinder of your choice, which magically prevents a creature from leaving that space. You can also use the horn to summon a lion within the cylinder.

6)  Staff of the Eclipse  — This stone staff is pocked with craters and painted an orange-red color reminiscent of the moon during a lunar eclipse. You can use an action to cast various spells from the staff such as moonbeam and wall of fire, or to dispel an area of light created by a spell to gain temporary hit points from it.

7)  Flame Distillery Pendant  — This flame-shaped pendant acts as the stopper for a flask underneath it that you can attach or detach a flask onto it. When you take fire damage from a hostile source, you can use your reaction to remporarily gain resistance to fire and create a special alchemist's fire inside the flask that lasts until next dawn.
