Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Woodstalker's Hood  — A hood adorned with antlers that masks your face in darkness. Attuning to it give you advantage on Stealth checks while obscured by vegetation. It has charges that can be used to create a large area of silence, see and hear through a plant, and frighten creatures that can see you.

2)  Angelic Battle Gear  — This white plate armor grants resistance to necrotic damage and a bonus to your AC. A shining halo that produces light hovers over your head while you are attuned, and it can become a temporary shield as a reaction to being hit. You can manifest its heavenly power to wreath you weapons in flame and enlarge yourself, give disadvantage on attacks to evil creatures.

3)  Hammerward Plate  — Stone armor that can absorb natural earthen surfaces, coating your entire body for 1 minute to become enlarged with a pool of temporary hit points, resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. The effect blinds you, but you gain tremorsense out to  30 feet.

4)  Scroll of the True Self  — A scroll to make your outer appearance match your inner one. You can use the scroll to cast the alter self spell using the Change Appearance option. When the spell ends the appearance becomes permanent.

5)  Alchemist's Snowballista  — Resembling a crossbow, this weapon has a removable jug that holds water to create the snowballs it uses as ammunition that deal cold damage on a hit. When you roll a 20 on an attack with it, the target takes extra bludgeoning damage from a chunk of ice and might be knocked prone.

6)  Preservation Jar  — A jar for preserving body parts. Body parts in the jar are under the effect of the gentle repose spell, which can only hold parts from a single creature. You can perform an hour long ritual to cast true resurrection from the jar, targeting the creature who's body parts are in the jar. After casting in this way, the jar is destroyed.

7)  The Creature Encyclopedia  — A collection of books, each written by an expert in their own field. Rangers that spend time studying the book can add another option to your favored enemy list. Each volume grants a specific favored enemy option as well as a new language.
