Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Black Dragonmetal War Pick  — A war pick in the form of a black dragon head, steaming with green vapor. It has charges that can be used to deal additional acid damage, or reduce enemy AC by corroding armor. Its crafted from a material coveted by dragons and dragonborn and alerts them to you location when it's nearby.

2)  Rebalancing Haft  — This hollow haft can latch on to the handle of a greataxe, greatsword, or maul, allowing you to modify its base damage to that of another similar heavy, two-handed weapon.

3)  Scroll of the True Self  — A scroll to make your outer appearance match your inner one. You can use the scroll to cast the alter self spell using the Change Appearance option. When the spell ends the appearance becomes permanent.

4)  Staff of Druid’s Scourge  — This thorny, iron staff is kills and converts plant life into iron ore, and is considered to be under the effects of the shillelagh cantrip. It has charges that can be used to cast various nature spells. There is a chance that using its last charge causes it to explode, returning life to the area around it.

5)  Xorn Eye Coin  — A magical golden coin with a swiveling eye on one side. When activated, the eye stares in the direction of the nearest treasure containing precious metals and stones, such as coins and gems, and vibrates the closer you are for 1 hour.

6)  Tome of Gnomish Knowledge  — This encyclopedic tome for gnomes contains an arcane link to all other gnomish catalogs, detailed instruction manuals, and story books, giving you advantage on History checks, and allowing you to cast legend lore from it which might present the information in detailed gnomish notes and illustrations.

7)  Boiling Blood Cloak  — This cloak was made from the carapace of a remorhaz and still contains some of its scalding blood. At dawn, you can choose either fire or cold damage to gain resistance against and you deal extra damage while raging. You can shield yourself as an action to gain temporary hit points which deal damage to any creature that hits you while they exist.
