Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement by a druid)

These small wooden charms are carved in the shape of recognizable creatures. Each one is about three inches tall and can fit into the top of the charm below. If you have multiple charms, they collectively count as a single magic item for the purposes of determining how many items you can attune to.

When found, the creature type associated with the charm is random. Roll a d8 and use the table below to determine what charm you find.

While a charm is on your person, you can use an action to expend two uses of your Wild Shape to transform into a creature other than a beast, following the normal rules for Wild Shape with the following changes. The type of creature you can transform into is determined by the charms you have. The challenge rating of the creature must be no more than half your druid level, rounded down, and the maximum amount of time you can remain transformed is 10 minutes.

The young druid toed the trial ring's edge. She held a small, carved couatl between shaking fingers. With one token she was a novice: her life spent on a single design. She jumped as a voice rang out, "Maeve, are you worthy of your chosen forms?"

The elder who'd spoken leaned heavily on a staff topped with five signs: the fey, the fusion, the forest, the fiend, and the formless. Maeve uttered out a reply, weak at first, but then certain: "I… I know their nature, and seek to seal the next step on our path!"

He smiled encouragingly at her reply. "Then share with us your mastery!"

His outline grew distorted, and his own metamorphosis into a many-headed hydra played hell on Maeve's taut nerves. But… no celestial she'd studied, nor the warriors of the Hearth would ever flee. With her aspirations held in focus, her own body stretched into a serpentine form, and many-hued wings unfurled for the first time.
