Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Medium's Breath  — This bamboo flute has talismans adorned with symbols of life and death, and is tuned to excite or calm emotions. You can play the flute to assert control over undead with various effects. You can give an undead controlled by another creature their personality and mental scores back for a limited time or cause a phantom of a creatures past to hunt them, if one exists.

2)  Light Brush  — This torch resembles a paint brush, and can provide light in any color for 1 hour each day. However, lighting it curses and makes you want to use it as much as appropriate, and causes you to leave behind glowing paint footprints every so often as you walk.

3)  Returning Shot  — Instead of reloading this crossbow, you can throw it as a bonus action to deal damage. After throwing, it immediately flies back to your hand with ammunition loaded.

4)  Vagabonds' Fortress  — Plate armor that is formed from tiny stone blocks with crenellated towers on the shoulders. You can speak one of the armor's two command words to either increase your AC at the cost of movement or transform into a fortress gaining benefits such as: temporary hit points, immunity to the prone condition, and increased reach with melee weapons.

5)  Preservation Jar  — A jar for preserving body parts. Body parts in the jar are under the effect of the gentle repose spell, which can only hold parts from a single creature. You can perform an hour long ritual to cast true resurrection from the jar, targeting the creature who's body parts are in the jar. After casting in this way, the jar is destroyed.

6)  Wavebender's Surfboard  — A tall, +1 shield that's covered in traditional Polynesian markings that can be stood on in the water as a surfboard, allowing it to ferry you across water with increased speed.

7)  Origami Ravens  — These black pieces of folded paper are made to look like small ravens, commonly found in boxes of 4. You can throw the paper to the ground where it transforms into raven for 1 hour and acts as if by the find familiar spell.
