Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You can submit your ideas on Discord, too! Come join us in the #patron-item-workshop channel!

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Xorn Eye Coin  — A magical golden coin with a swiveling eye on one side. When activated, the eye stares in the direction of the nearest treasure containing precious metals and stones, such as coins and gems, and vibrates the closer you are for 1 hour.

2)  Weapon of Blind Faith  — When you make an attack with advantage or disadvantage using this weapon, you score a critical hit if the result of both d20s is the same.

3)  Reckless Aegis  — This decorated metal shield depicts a knight defending their allies. When a willing ally within 30 feet of you is the target of an attack, you can use your reaction to teleport to them and become the target instead.

4)  Ring Of The Fakeout  — While wearing this ring, the first time you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright you can drop to 1 hit point instead. When you do, you fall prone, your speed drops to 0, you no longer need to breathe, and you appear dead to all outward inspection and spells used to determine your status. This effect lasts for 10 minutes or until you end it as an action and you can make a melee attack or cast a cantrip as part of the action to end the effect.

5)  Tasty Tiles  — Small stones that are carved to look like various food items such as bread or pie and are usually found in pouches containing 1d4 + 4 stones. When tossed into a fire, it releases a scent of what the item resembles and allows creatures to reroll 1 or 2 on a hit dice to regain hit points. Creatures who spend 1 hour or more near the fire are fully nourished for 24 hours.

6)  Honeycomb Ring  — This ring is incredibly sticky with 7 compartments filled with sweet honey. Emptying a compartment into a drink makes it taste delicious. After all compartments have been emptied you can throw the ring at a creature within 20 feet, causing a swarm of insects to attack them.

7)  Faerie Firework Launcher  — A crossbow that can turn bolts into fireworks. You can expend a charge after hitting a creature with an attack using the crossbow to cause the bolt to explode, dealing fire damage and causing the effects of faerie fire in an area around the target.

Thanks to everyone who submitted item ideas and voted for them this week!

Keep on adventuring!
