Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Owlbear Fletched Arrows  — Arrows made from the discarded feathers and parts of an owlbear, imbuing it with the creature’s keen tracking skills. If you target a creature that is behind half or three-quarters cover, you can choose to forgo the attack to automatically hit.

2)  Grasp of the Divine Feud  — A pair of mismatched armored gloves that have become magically bound to one another. If you have nothing in your hands, as an action, you can touch two different creatures and cast the harm and heal spells simultaneously.

3)  Wildfire Club  — A greatclub fashioned from the remains of a wildfire-scorched tree. Attacks with it deal extra fire damage, and when you roll a 20 to attack with it, it loses a charge and deals additional fire damage. After losing all its charges, it explodes, dealing fire damage to all nearby creatures.

4)  Scroll of the True Self  — A scroll to make your outer appearance match your inner one. You can use the scroll to cast the alter self spell using the Change Appearance option. When the spell ends the appearance becomes permanent.

5)  Necklace of Unrest  — A thin black necklace that enhances a bard's song. When you would grant an inspiration die, you can instead summon a number of undead servant skeletons that you mentally command. When you attune to the necklace, you can't remove it and using inspiration dice comes at the cost of hit dice, potentially killing and turning you into an undead.

6)  Dissonant Flute  — This flute has an oddly hollow sound and seems to be carved from bone. While playing this flute, you can choose any number of creatures to hear the sound as discordant and unpleasant.

7)  Ionic Flail  — This club can sprout electricity from its handle to become a flail that deals lightning damage and has the reach property. You can launch the electrified end of the flail at a target, forcing it to succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take lightning damage and become restrained by the bola-like electricity.
