Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Sleet Blades  — These sharpened skates have a knife edge and are cold to the touch. You can use them to make melee attacks, treating them as sickles with the finesse property that deal extra cold damage. Difficult terrain caused by ice doesn't affect you, and you can choose to temporarily freeze water you are standing on in a narrow path.

2)  Shooting-Starmetal Core  — A meteor hammer made from a starmetal meteorite. You can spend your movement to build up the weapons momentum, dealing extra damage the attack. You can also empower the weapon to deal extra fire damage for 1 minute as if it was a meteor, once per day.

3)  Ultima Ratio Magi  — This ring is made of plain silver, engraved with glyphes inside and out. When you cast counterspell, you gain advantage on the check while wearing it. Alternatively, you can stop another creature's attempt at casting counterspell once per day.

4)  The Inventory  — A colorful prism that contains images of myriads of magical items. If you or an ally expends a spell slot into it, the prism can transform into any magical item for 1 hour, higher level spell slots allowing for rarer items.

5)  Instant Bunker Banner  — A flag with 12 charges that, once planted, can be used to cast the tiny hut spell from it that remains for a number of hours equal to the charges used to cast it. It can send out a beam of energy at a creature when you use an action to expend another charge while inside the hut.

6)  Preservation Jar  — A jar for preserving body parts. Body parts in the jar are under the effect of the gentle repose spell, which can only hold parts from a single creature. You can perform an hour long ritual to cast true resurrection from the jar, targeting the creature who's body parts are in the jar. After casting in this way, the jar is destroyed.

7)  Faerie Firework Launcher  — A crossbow that can turn bolts into fireworks. You can expend a charge after hitting a creature with an attack using the crossbow to cause the bolt to explode, dealing fire damage and causing the effects of faerie fire in an area around the target.

8)  Meteorite Button  — An amulet that causes the wearer to fall faster, taking more damage from falling. You can pin it to another creature with a grapple check.

9)  Hide of the Wild Guardian  — Armor for a druid that confers its AC bonus to your wild shapes and grants an additional wild shape usage per day.

10)  Mercenary's Pauldron  — A solid steel pauldron with a sword and shield emblazoned on it. It has charges, which you can use to either grant yourself advantage on an attack, dealing extra damage on a hit, or grant yourself temporary weapon resistances and hit points until the start of your next turn.
