Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Echo of the Oni  — A cloak made from a strange blue leather. You can float a short distance off the ground, and can use it once per day to cast a modified version of the enlarge effect of the enlarge/reduce spell, transforming into an oni.This cloak is cursed with a chance to gain a flaw and some of the appearance of an oni when you transform.

2)  Whip of Command  — A whip crafted from a lamia's tail with a bonus to attack and damage rolls using it. As an action you can crack the whip at a creature within reach to cast the geas spell on it; this ends the effect on a previously affected creature.

3)  Disjoint Leathers  — Armor crafted from the skin of a colossal octopus. You can squeeze into smaller spaces while wearing it and have advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks. Once per day you can release a store of ink from the armor, replicating the grease spell if you're on land, or fog cloud if you're underwater.

4)  Dragon Turtle Gumbo  — A spicy dish made using dragon turtle meat, served in a piece of its shell. For 1 hour after eating the gumbo, you can breath under water, and can exhale a scalding cone of steam.

5)  Cancerian Shell Armor  — This damp, aquatic armor increases maneuverability in water and can harden its shell to provide greater defense as a reaction.

6)  Oil of Mimic Essence  — Oil harvested from a mimic which can turn a nonmagical object into a mimic. The object follows your orders in combat, and reverts to being an ordinary object when it is reduced to 0 hit points.

7)  Ether-eel's Pain  — A blade fashioned from the tooth of an ether-eel. You gain a bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon, which deals an additional force damage on a hit. You can see into the Ethereal Plane and can attack targets there. You can also expend charges to teleport next to a creature that damaged you and attack it as a reaction.
