Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Hallowed Scroll of Warding  — A scroll that is enveloped in consecrated protection texts and ribbons. While attuned, you have advantage on saving throws against spells and effects from fiends and undead. Additionally, you can expend charges to increase the DC of your Channel Divinity class features until there are no charges remaining.

2)  The Aberrant Nail  — A longsword merged with the essence of an aboleth with meteorite metal. You gain a bonus to your attack and damage rolls, your Intelligence score becomes 19, and when you roll a 20 on an attack roll the target must succeed a Wisdom saving throw or be stunned.

3)  Perpetual Stew  — A large iron pot enchanted to never run out of stew, able to be replenished with ingredients found while exploring. A potion can be placed into the pot to imbue the stew with the potions properties, granting its benefits to up to 6 creatures who eat from it. Additionally, you can cast the heroes feast spell from the pot.

4)  Frostfell Cloak  — A frosty white cloak that trails whisps of snow behind you. On your turn you can expend charges from the cloak and forgo movement to spin in place and turn the area around you into difficult terrain and deal cold damage to nearby creatures, reducing their move speed.

5)  Medzo's Gaming Dice  — These cursed dice are the favorites of an infamous gambler. You have advantage on ability checks made while gambling with these dice. When a nearby creature you can see makes an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check, you can expend a charge and make a Charisma check to grant that creature a bonus to their roll. If you fail the Charisma check, you are affected by the bane spell for the next minute.

6)  Mycelium's Reach  — This staff can sprout invisible branching mycelium in an area around the staff which gives creatures that holds it tremorsense and allows them to make a Perception checks as if they were standing at any point in that area. Multiple creatures can hold the staff at the same time to gain these benefits.

7)  Will and Way  — A paired feather brooch and signet ring, that when worn together grant advantage on Charisma (Deception) and Wisdom (Insight) checks. The brooch can be transformed into a quill, which provides a bonus to creating forgeries. The ring can be used to store one object in an extradimensional space or retrieve it.
