Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Wrist Stiletto  — A rogue's dagger hidden in a leather bracer which doesn't require a free hand to use, but also cant be thrown. It is well hidden and requires a successful Intelligence (Investigation) check to uncover.  If you draw the dagger as part of the Attack action, you can use your Sneak Attack against a creature even if you don't have advantage on the attack roll.

2)  Shield of the Everfighter  — This battle worn iron heater shield can transform it into a gauntlet as a bonus action or back into a shield, or as part of the same action used to transform the gladius of the everfighter if you are also attuned to it. You also gain an additional use of your Indomitable class feature.

3)  Pin Pal  — You can attune to this plush doll by pricking yourself on a needle that comes with it. It takes on your likeness and can be controlled mentally like a familiar, and also allows you to succeed on a single death saving throw each day.

4)  Jade Spearwillow Branch  — A spear fashioned from a branch taken from a magical willow tree. It has charges that can be used to grow an extra branch from the spear when you miss an attack, and make a new attack against the target. The new branch becomes leafy and falls to the ground, where a nonmagical willow tree later grows.

5)  Painter's Flight  — A long white coat covered in patches of paint. While wearing it, you can paint with your hands, and can touch a flat surface to transform yourself into a painting on that surface. While in this form you can move along that surface and adjacent ones.

6)  Webbed Warrior’s Warhammer  — A warhammer covered in web and spider motifs, for use by a barbarian. When you enter a rage, you can choose a number of creatures to become restrained by magical webs that emanate from you.

7)  The Ersatz Oraculum  — A full-length mirror that shows a slightly distorted reality. You can spend time focusing on your reflection in the mirror to cast a modified version of the simulacrum spell, as your reflection steps out of the mirror and becomes your simulacrum. Your reflection gains the ability to cast certain divination spells using charges.
