Legendary Stories — New Setting [12 short stories] and Subclass! (Patreon)

Hey heroes! This is a unique setting from the Saddlebag that dives deep into some of the favorite or unexplained flavor texts that have been written over the last three years! There are some surprising connections, intriguing resolutions, and open-ended conclusions! Each story includes a series of adventure hooks so that your players can play a pivotal role in the legend surrounding the stories, and gives you all the relevant flavor texts and new ones to share with your players when retelling the story!

The subclass for this setting is the warlock's new patron: the Valiant! This subclass reimagines what a martial warlock can be using their existing kit. Condense your eldritch blast into an eldritch blade, slashing at enemies for each beam you would make, and support yourself and your allies with defensive magical abilities! Become a hero of legend, just like your patron was!

Speaking of the subclass, here's a reminder that we also have official subclass playtest sessions on the Discord for Esteemed and Legendary Heroes! Warlock v. 1.22

Added in a requirement to cast eldritch blast as an action to manifest the blade. This will prevent 4x attacks with the 1d12 weapon at higher levels with opportunity attacks with the War Caster feat. You can still cast a normal eldritch blast in that case, but those attacks would be at disadvantage because of the ranged component of the spell against a close target.
