Wondrous item, common

The flame of this candle gives off light like a normal candle, but keeps every creature within its light at a comfortably warm temperature.

The fire in the tavern had gone out when the door blew open from the strong winter winds. Barbin sat shivering at a table inside, clutching a lukewarm ale. The barkeep came out and apologized for the cold, and said that the fire would take a while to heat back up, as the wood they had on hand was still damp from snowmelt.

Mina sat across from Barbin at the table, seemingly unbothered by the cold. She reached into her bag and pulled out a small cluster of candles that had been pierced with bits of kindling. She handed a few to Barbin before beginning to set and light a candle at the nearby tables.

The chilly tavern grew warm again at once, and with it, the spirits of everyone huddled inside. When the last of the candles sputtered out, the fire in the hearth had been stoked back to life, and the evening went on without incident.

Even though they'd failed the bodyguard job today—gods rest the poor lad's soul—Barbin and Mina could take some comfort in knowing that they had at least been heroes in that tavern.
