Elite Workshop Day 2 — What kind of magic gemstone item should we make? (Patreon)

Hey heroes! Thanks for the votes and comments yesterday! Let's make another item together! Whew, you really had some thoughts on gemstone stuff!

These are loose item ideas based on the suggestions from yesterday's direction poll. Some of these may have had their ideas adjusted or combined with other like-minded suggestions. The final product may or may not use the original wording, so these are the core of the items' functionality and flavor.

Ideas

Spellgem Ring — A ring encrusted with gems of various colors, which can be used to cast a variety of spells depending on the gems' colors. Once used, a gem has a 50% chance to loose its color and become nonmagical.

Emberstone Mine — Red and amber-colored gemstones that are actually solidified flames. When the gemstone takes any damage, it erupts in a small plume of flame, dealing fire damage to everything next to it when it does.

Life-Keeper's Flail — A cleric's or paladin's holy flail with a large diamond nestled at the center of the flail's crystal-spiked ball. It deals bonus damage to undead, as well as structures and constructs, and can be used to cast revivify. Each time it does, there's a percent chance that the central diamond (and its magic) is lost.

Light-Striker — A sword made of pure crystal. When in an area of bright light, you can use an action to concentrate and reflect that light through the sword in a radiant line of damage. When you're hit and in an area of bright light, the attacker also takes radiant damage.

Powergem Clasp — A bangle-like clasp that can be applied to any weapon. The clasp has holes on it that are made to accept gemstones of a certain value or higher. For each slotted gemstone, the weapon deals bonus damage of a type associated with the gem's color.

Bloodstone Maul — A large, red stone sits at the top of this maul that's held in place by bands of dark iron. When you hit a creature with it and score a critical hit, that creature has disadvantage on all attacks made against creatures other than you, and must use its movement to approach you.

Lapis Lazuli Stag Beetle Figurine— A figurine of wondrous power that can be summoned to create a large, crawling mount that doubles as a vehicle you sit within. There are spaces beneath it crystalline wings that can fit up to X Medium or smaller creatures on either side.

Sphere of Rapid Descent — A crystalline orb with a small, beaded pull cord hanging from one side of it. While falling, you can pull the cord to cause the orb to grow around you and encase you in a protective sphere. When the sphere stops moving, it returns to its normal form.

Primordial Powder — A series of gemstone dusts that can be used to summon friendly mephits. Depending on the kind of gemstone dust you use, as well as the value of the gems it came from, different kinds and numbers of mephits appear to aid you.
