Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Sling of Farsight — This eye-embroidered sling can be used to attack enemies accurately at range, or worn as a blindfold that increases your other senses in exchange for your sight.

2) The Prophet’s Necklace — A necklace bearing the distinct loop and loose appearance of a noose. While wearing it, you can add your proficiency bonus to death saving throws.

3) Cancerian Shell Armor — This damp, aquatic armor increases maneuverability in water and can harden its shell to provide greater defense as a reaction.

4) Death String — A withering instrument that hurts non-bards to play. You can expend a Bardic Inspiration die to give a Bardic Enervation die, which subtracts your die, rather than adds it, to a creature's roll of your choice. If the roll is reduced below 0, they take damage.

5) Spectacles of Restless Research — These glasses allow a spectral copy of yourself to continue studying while you sleep.

6) Orange Cicatrizer’s Debt — A set of magical hathpool fitted for a queen's personal physic.  Using its charges, you can redirect harm intended for a friendly creature to you instead, grant an ally a bonus to saving throws against conditions, or heal nearby allies while burning enemies. It also grants you a flaw.

7) Toad Tongue — A whip that resembles a toad that deals additional acid damage on a hit. When you hit a creature with the whip, you can pull it towards you or yourself towards it, depending on the size of the creature.
