Remembrance may be derided as sentiment without meaning, solace for not even the dead. Yet in remembrance may we carry forth the resolve of those who gave all for us. Redemption was not to us sanctioned, yet to us was it granted.

For faith and mercy serve as ample guides in peace, but deliverance is what one brings to those within fate's crucible. And should the ultimate sacrifice be demanded of one under our call, know they will not be found wanting, for we are all heritors of the Shieldbearer's will and there is no unworthy death in the defense of others.
