Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Mourningsteel Stilleto — A needle-like blade made of dark metal harvested from bloody battlefields with crimson steaks running throughout. You can expend charges when you deal damage to force the target to succeed a saving throw or lose hit points at the start of each of its turns.

2) Scroll of True Self — A scroll to make your inner appearance match your outer one. You can use the scroll to cast the alter self spell using the Change Appearance option. When the spell ends the appearance becomes permanent.

3) Band of the Kraken — A spiraling arm band shaped like a tentacle. As a bonus action you can transform your arm into a tentacle and make an unarmed strike. This attack has the reach property and deals extra damage.

4) Tears of the Barren Duct — A small leather pouch that contains gems resembling teardrops. As a bonus action you can drop one at your feet, hydrating the ground. This effect remove difficult terrain in a radius and light vegetation grows in the area if it's able.

5) Ballroom Breaker — An elegant ballroom mask that grants a bonus to Charisma (Persuasion) checks made between dawn and dusk, and can be used to magically create and wear a formal outfit during the same time.

6) Ragdoll Armor — Stray pieces of straw poke out of this crudely sewn armor. You gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks and you can expend a hit die when the mending spell is cast on the armor. Additionally, you can reattach a lost limb or body part during a short or long rest by holding it to yourself for 1 hour.

7) Mourningsteel Half Plate — A blackish-red armor made from dark metal harvested from bloody battlefields able to protect against and harm divine creatures. You gain numerous properties such as the ability to gain temporary hit points from necrotic damage, access to select spells, casting the speak with dead spell on good-aligned creatures, and choosing to succeed on a saving throw from a divine effect.
