Elite Workshop Day 2 — Let's make something from a griffon pelt! (Patreon)

Hey heroes! Let's make an item you'd find in a castle in the clouds!

These are loose item ideas using on the suggestions from yesterday's direction poll. Some of these may have had their ideas adjusted or combined with other like-minded suggestions. The final product may or may not use the original wording, so these are the core of the items' functionality and flavor.

Ideas

Hide Armor of the Griffon — A set of  hide armor covered in the feathers of a griffon. While wearing it, you gain a bonus to ranged weapon attacks you make, and you have a bonus to your AC against damage from ranged weapon attacks. If a projectile misses you as a result of this AC bonus, it's lodged in the armor's feathers and can be plucked out and re-used.

Sky Rider's Girdle — A belt that aids in mounted combat. It unfurls a pair of leathery talons that harmlessly hold onto a mount, as if held onto by a mighty griffon, and gives you bonuses and saving throws to remain on your mount. If your mount can fly, it gains additional bonuses.

Tempest Griffon Bracers — A pair of fur- and feather-trimmed bracers that flutter in a constant breeze and arc with electricity. Your movement speed increases by 5 feet while wearing them, and you can use an action to duplicate a storm-based version of the effects of steel wind strike (written out, as that spell isn't SRD).
