Renowned Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made! (Patreon)
Content
Hey heroes!
Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.
You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.
Here are the 7 randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!
Ideas
1) Lover's Remorse — A legendary necklace that allows you to die in the place of another creature, restoring its health in the process, and temporarily removes the material component cost of reviving spells used on you.
2) The Sashimi Cleaver — A magical handaxe that has a bonus to attack and damage against swimming creatures, and can harvest meals from fish. When you have a certain number of meals harvested, you can cast a version of the heroes' feast spell using it.
3) Memory-Well Fountain Pen — A special fountain pen that can be used to draw a magical rendition of a memory you hold in your mind, limiting ink flow over certain parts of a piece of parchment, etc., as if it were a printer.
4) Cavalier's Mantle — A silk mantle with royal finery that grants you a bonus to Charisma checks while mounted on a steed. You can cast the find steed spell once a day while wearing it.
5) Veiled Guilt — A tower shield in the shape of a coffin that allows you to expend some of its charges to deal psychic damage in a cone and make creatures in the cone frightened of you.
6) Power Flowers — Vibrant, magical flowers that hold certain cantrips within them. When you crush a flower, which is only magic for 24 hours after being picked, it releases a cantrip as if you cast it at certain character levels, based on the flower's rarity.
7) Traitor's Gauntlet — A cursed, blackened gauntlet that once belonged to a traitorous paladin. While wearing it, a weapon you hold in that hand deals 1d8 necrotic damage, instead of its normal damage, as well as a bonus 1d8 fire damage.
Thanks to everyone who submitted item ideas and voted for them this week!
Keep on adventuring!
