Hey heroes! Let's make something from a rust monster!

These are loose item ideas using on the suggestions from yesterday's direction poll. Some of these have had their ideas adjusted or combined with other like-minded suggestions. The final product may or may not use the original wording, so these are the core of the items' functionality and flavor.

Ideas

Rust Monster Whip — A +1 whip made from a rust monster's antenna. Scoring a critical hit with it causes the target to make a saving throw. On a failed save, your choice of one nonmagical metal item it's holding or carrying to rust and be destroyed.

Rusting Arrows — A quiver of 5 magic arrows. Once they hit a target, they lose their magic. Hitting a creature wearing or holding something made of metal gives it an AC or damage penalty, as per the rust monster's features, or causes a cube of metal to rust.

Raider's Dust — A dwarven bag of ferrous dust made from iron scraps and formulated to smell delicious to rust monsters. Each bag contains a certain number of uses. A rust monster that starts its turn within 60 feet of it must succeed on a saving throw or be compelled to move toward it and spend its turn eating the dust.

Rod of Robigus — A rod for clerics or paladins. Using your Turn Undead feature causes creatures with nonmagical metal weapons to drop them, and using your Divine Sense feature alerts you to the presence of held or worn metal within a certain range of you.
