Hey heroes! Let's make something from a rakshasa!

These are loose item ideas using on the suggestions from yesterday's direction poll. Some of these have had their ideas adjusted or combined with other like-minded suggestions. The final product may or may not use the original wording, so these are the core of the items' functionality and flavor.

Ideas

Magebane Blood Poison — A bubbling black poison made to render mages useless. On a failed save, a creature takes psychic damage and is poisoned for 1 hour. While poisoned, a creature can't cast spells.

Rakshasa Pelt Cloak — A cloak lined with rakshasan fur that gives the wearer a bonus against all spell saving throws and a penalty to spell attacks directed at it. While wearing it, you can also cast disguise self at will.

The Fiend's Pot — A twisted smoking pipe that always smells of sulfur and brimstone while lit. While lit, you can cast detect thoughts from it using 10gp worth of fine tobacco, which the spell consumes. 

Rakshasan Life Ripper — A golden scimitar ornamented with left claw designs. When you drop to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to make one melee weapon attack with the scimitar against a target within range, with advantage. If you hit and reduce that creature to 0 hit points, you drop to 1 hit point instead.
