Let's make something to do with Nightmares!

These are loose item ideas using on the suggestions from yesterday's direction poll. Some of these have had their ideas adjusted or combined with other like-minded suggestions. The final product may or may not use the original wording, so these are the core of the items' functionality and flavor.

Ideas

Dread Jouster — A flaming lance that allows you to summon and mount an illusory, charging Nightmare a number of times each day. Doing this lets you ride the Nightmare up to 60 feet on your turn before making an attack against a creature with the lance. While riding the Nightmare, you can see and attack creatures on the Ethereal Plane.

Nightmare Visage — A stylized, black helmet that wreathes your head in flames, granting you fire resistance and the ability to create fire with the *produce flame* cantrip. Using charges, you can cast the cantrip at higher levels, even if you're of a lower level than it.

Fell-Rider Chariot — A dark chariot led by two Nightmares that can be summoned with a crack of the reigns. You can ride through the Ethereal Plane using the chariot. If the Nightmares drop to 0 hit points, they cannot be summoned again for a number of days.
