Renowned Ideas: Choose 2 community items to be made! (Patreon)
Content
Hey heroes!
Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.
Over the next few weeks, there may be some changes to the format this takes on as new best practices are discovered.
Here are the 7 randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!
Ideas
1) Dagger of Demon Slaying — A dagger from the heavens that smites and banishes fiends in a blinding radiance.
2) Clockwork Bludgeoning Beetle — A flying clockwork beetle that slams into multiple targets and deals extra damage against structures. It can ricochet from one target to another, and emit a booming force that pushes creatures nearby away from it.
3) Bag of Spiders — Magic item or not, it sounds horrifying. You can throw these poisonous spiders on a target within range, potentially covering them in the voracious spiders and dealing damage at the end of each of the target's following turns.
4) Quiver of the Elementals — A legendary quiver that generates its own powerful magic arrows using magic sourced directly from the Elemental Planes. Planar magics can be combined to generate unique and helpful arrow combinations.
5) Arcanist’s Scribing Nib — A powerful wand with a quill nib that allows you to copy spells and create your own magical writings with ease. You can use it to comprehend written languages and magically write you own with illusory scripts, both on parchment and in the sky.
6) Corrupted Purity Spear — A sickly spear made from the remnants of a tainted unicorn horn. It corrupts anything it touches and can poison even the unpoisonable, dealing extra poison damage against creatures afflicted with its curses. While you're poisoned and holding the spear, you gain a unique set of bonuses.
7) Backhanded Gloves — Gloves that contort your hands to both be left-handed, like a Rakshasa. You have advantage on Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) ability checks, but make Charisma ones to interact with creatures with whom you've shaken hands with disadvantage.
Be sure to cast your votes and let your voices be heard! This poll ends Monday morning! Until then, keep on adventuring!
