Hey adventurers! 

It's finally happening. A book. This has been the ultimate goal since starting the Saddlebag over a year ago, and it feels a little surreal to be posting about it.

The actual page above doesn't show you what's inside the campaign yet, but I will!

What's Inside

This book has everything from year 1 inside it. 200 pages of 365 magic items, 2 settings, a villain, and 12 subclasses all lushly printed in a hardcover book. It's nearly finished being designed, and will be ready to send to print once we have the funds to do so!

There are also several neat quality of life features included in this book that are designed to make your life simpler as you try to find the perfect rewards for your games: 

And for those of you who like really nice things, there's a really nice alternate cover option for you! The deluxe version of the book comes with a gold foiled cover, and makes the outside of the book feel as magical as the items it has within:

The Ledger +

Those of you who have been using the Ledger or the Inventory and Looter's Table to find your ideal loot will be excited to know about a new feature coming to the Saddlebag. The Ledger+ is an online tool that exists off of Patreon, but plugs into your level of support. This feature will start in early access for Ascended Heroes ($9+), but will eventually be accessible to all $7+ patrons as part of their rewards.

Alternatively, you can purchase Access Codes that unlock every item within Book One, with or without supporting the effort on Patreon.

Once the first goal is met at $50,000, all pledge tiers in the campaign (The PDF and up) come with an Access Code already!

Rewards

The PDF.  $20  This includes just the digital PDF file of the book, which will be kept up to date until it no longer makes sense to over the years.

The Book.  $40  This is the core of the project and comes with the lushly printed hardbound book, as well as its PDF.

The Deluxe Book.  $80  This comes with the gold foil deluxe copy of the book, the PDF, as well as a lifetime Access Code for the first 365 magic items on the Ledger+. If we meet the first Kickstarter goal and you get an additional code, you can give one away and keep the other for yourself!

The Book and the Cards.  $100  This bundle comes with the standard hardcover book and 4 item card volumes from the Deck of Many. It also comes with the book's PDF and an Access Code for the book's items on the Ledger+.

The Deluxe Book and the Cards.  $130  This elite bundle comes with the same benefits as the previous tier, but with the special gold foil deluxe edition of the book.

The Hero's Pack.  $1,000  This final pack comes with everything packed and shipped to you neatly in a special, limited-run, handmade leather griffon's saddlebag. This includes 1 standard hardbound book, 1 deluxe copy of the book, every existing and funded volume of the item cards, 20 Saddlebag stickers, 2 enameled metal pins, the PDF of the book, and a special lifetime All-Item Access Code to the Ledger+, allowing you to search for and save any magic item that has and will be made with The Griffon's Saddlebag, without any other forms of support required. And, if it wasn't clear enough, you get to own one of ten physical griffon's saddlebag. The bag is wide enough to fit this and other 5e books, and has straps and rings for wearing as both a backpack and messenger back. It's your adventure: wear it how you want to!

Stretch Goals

Item Cards.
The official item card packs volumes 5 through 7 can be printed immediately following reaching certain goals. If they're met, you can use this book in tandem with your matching 365 magic item cards!

Ledger+ for all Backers and More Adventures
At the first goal of $50,000, every PDF backer and above will get an Access Code to the Ledger+ as part of their pledge! Additional codes can still be purchased after the campaign through Backerkit.

At higher goals, we'll unlock additional adventures for everyone that take you back to Hearth, explore the Elemental Planes for the Saddlebag's 4 elemental artifacts, and visit the Astral Griffon's legendary forge in the Astral Sea! Let's see if we can reach these crazy goals!

Other Merchandise and Add-Ons

Stickers and enamel pins will be available as add-on items through Backerkit with your pledges! You can also order other content with your pledge, too, like cards, books, and Access Codes.

This book is being printed with The Deck of Many's guidance and world-wide connections and fulfillment options. Rest assured knowing that this campaign is being fulfilled by people who know the bumps and hurdles, and are going to be there to make sure that everything goes according to plan.

You can expect everything in this Kickstarter to be delivered by October of this year! Of course, I will always fulfill my duty to keep everyone aware of what's happening in production!
