Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Starmetal Blowgun — A metal blowgun, forged from metals that fell from the sky. You gain a bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it and it deals extra piercing damage due to it's magnetic acceleration. The blowgun is loaded with a magnetized needle that is drawn back into the blowgun after every attack, ignoring the loading property. Once per turn, you can attempt to cause a creature hit by it to be outlined by an aurora-like light, as if by the faerie fire spell.

2) Great Blade of the Wrathful — This barbarian weapon creates an aura around you while raging. When you roll a 20 on an attack, all hostile creatures must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be consumed by rage, attacking the nearest target on their turn. However, you are compelled to make each attack recklessly as well.

3) Shimmershell Shield — This iridescent shield is made of shiny crab shell. As an action, you can command the shield to wrap around your body to form a protective shell, increasing your AC and emitting dim light. You can revert the shell back to a shield again as an action.

4) Frostbite Snowflakes — A scarf stylized with snowflakes that can summon and throw icy throwing stars (daggers) in the shape of a snowflake. Creatures hit by these attacks have their speed cumulatively reduced and take cold damage each turn unless they use an action to remove the icy shards.

5) Honeywood Recurve — A heavy recurve bow is constantly humming from the bees that live inside. Insects are friendly to you and you can expend charges to summon a swarm of bees to attack a nearby area.

6) Dead Men's Tales — This gruesome book is bound partially by human flesh with an animated face on the cover. Once per day, you can place the book on a corpse and cast the speak with dead spell to ask one question. The answer comes in the form of a story, which is written in the pages and can be recited by the cover's face.

7) Rings of Many Pockets — This set of four rings each contain a small extradimensional space. You can store 1 item in each ring, producing one of them in your hand as a bonus action.
