Hey heroes!
Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.
You can submit your ideas on Discord, too! Come join us in the #patron-item-workshop channel!
You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.
Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!
Ideas
1) Judgement of the Wrathful Knight — A tarnished ring was once worn by a cruel cavalier that creates a dark pearl gauntlet over your hand and forearm, granting you a bonus to AC and whenever you deal radiant damage, you can instead deal fire or necrotic.
2) Sloth's Embrace — A drab grey cloak that hangs shapelessly around your body that can be used to fall into a faux death state. After an hour, you gain the benefits on a long rest but your speed halved and you have disadvantage on Dexterity checks until your next long rest.
3) Gambler's Folly — A coin imbued with volatile abjuration magic that sports a pair of dice on one side, blank on the other. You can flip the coin to gain temporary hit points, or can change to double the number with an additional roll.
4) Mask of the Gluttonous Raven — A black bone mask that sits over your nose and mouth and is engraved with a beak-like design. While wearing it, you can open it like a mouth to eat or speak, and are immune to poison and diseases from the food you eat or drink, including uncooked or rotten meat.
5) Thirsting Book — This pink book can be used a spellcasting focus to gain bonuses to your wizard spells, as well as granting an additional level recovered when you use your Arcane Recovery feature. Copying a spell takes half the time, but double the cost.
6) Black Scales of Famine — A pair of black weighing scales was taken from a celestial harbinger of destitution and deprivation. You gain bonus to Charisma (Deception) checks and determining the worth of mundane objects. Additionally, you can expend charges for a variety of spells such as detect thoughts, geas, and private sanctum, as well as being able to influence other to hand over their possessions.
7) Avarice's Bag Of Stealing — This bag has an extradimensional space that will continuously expand to fit whatever items are put into it and can hold up to four tons. Creatures suffer disadvantage when trying to detect your attempts at stealing while using the bag as part of the check. Each item stolen this way gains you further bonuses on Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) checks, up to a certain number.
Keep on adventuring!
