Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Bard's Barding — This armor has strings attached all over it. You gain a bonus to your AC, can use the armor as a spellcasting focus for your bard spells, and gain a bonus to your spell attack rolls and saving throws.

2) Blood Whistle — A dull whistle that produces no sound. When you blow into it, you can attempt to temporarily curdle the blood of a nearby target, preventing it from taking actions or moving until the start of your next turn.

3) Tagelheart — A black bone tagelharpa with stylized hearts etched into it. You gain a bonus to Charisma (Performance) checks made with it and can detect the heartbeat of all creatures within range. You can expend the instruments charges for various effects, such as: outlining creatures based on their intentions (i.e. hostile or friendly), casting the calm emotions spell, or engulf a target in sorrow which deals damage and potentially frightens them.

4) Bone-Rattle Flute — An alabaster flute carved from the femur of a humanoid creature. You can expend the flutes charges to charm an undead creature or raise a recently slain creature as a zombie or skeleton (your choice) for a limited duration.

5) Paladin's Power Chord — A massive adamantine bass guitar engraved with holy prayers that acts as a maul. You gain bonus to attack, damage, and performance rolls with it, as well as trading your Divine Smite damage to heal nearby allies.

6) Rattler Battlers — The heads of these strange clubs are rattlesnake rattles, somehow expanded and bent to form the typical rounded shape, and can also be used as maracas. You can use them if you're proficient with drums, can add your proficiency bonus when you attack with them, and can summon a swarm of poisonous snakes.

7) Hotfoot Castanets — These fine wooden castanets have been passed through generations of musicians and dancers. You gain a bonus while performing with them, and can perform an enchanting dance that can force other nearby to dance as well as their feet begin to burn.
