I agree it’s interesting how ppl invest a lot in groups prior to debuting (even tho I def was fully invested in loona predebut 😂), I think when it comes to kpop, a lot of predebut fans either have followed a trainee for a while and are waiting for their debut (or even redebut) or the group has a predebut project/promotion which gets attracts new fans. sometimes even just having a big company name is enough tho (like at first I thought it was kinda crazy how hybe just dropped newjeans out of nowhere w barely any prior promotion that I know of but it worked out!) in le sserafim’s case, three members were already really popular and they’re under hybe so it makes sense that so many ppl came their debut showcase

Showcases normally have multiple songs from the album plus some talking parts. It's basically like a mini concert. Not sure about smaller groups but for le sserafim not only were 3 members well known but the hype was built up over the month or so before their debut so they already had fans. I don't think showcases are normally multiple groups in the same night (I think the mc was meaning the last time she did a showcase) but le sserafim was the only one for that night there as far as I know
