What kind of reactions do you watch?
- Anime 51
- Kdrama 192
- Kpop 195
- Western Live Action 18
Yo! I am still getting questions and dm's regarding the page split so I wanted to make another post to show my point.
So basically, from ages ago I had trouble deciding how I'd post because if I included too much anime, or too much kdrama it could deviate from the main kpop content. Which happens to be the biggest factor in gathering reference data from other creators. A lot of the creators I find that do anime and kdramas are not involved with the kpop space, so they offer anime on one tier, kdrama on another and maybe sprinkle in western live action shows as well. That's awesome, but I don't want to stop reacting to kpop content.
With that, it was easy to say anything with story like anime, kdrama and live action shows can be housed in one place and kpop stuff housed separately. But I felt like k-culture was both kpop and kdramas, so it felt like it made sense for those to be grouped. I find that there are more kdrama only patrons joining and messaging me so maybe that overlap was less than I imagined.
The kpop reactors I've spoke with generally are mostly at $10 for including anime or there's an anime only tier for $5, so since I knew I wanted anime at $5 only I made a separate page, so it's only anime content on the feed.
My problem kind of lies where even now I am considering the idea of posting more kdrama in the mix due to recent support but I am having some doubts. I've supported other creators who post reactions in greater scale than myself and I am even seeing complaints about "more kdrama than anime" or vice versa in those communities too which is why I wanted to keep things separate to avoid my situation of "more ___ than kpop or more kpop than ___".
So my options seem to be:
1. Kpop/kdrama here + anime only separately (as it is)
2. All shows (kdrama/anime/western) + kpop only separately
The idea is that viewers who only watch one piece of content looks at the feed and goes, hmm, I only get X amount of the content I want per week/ the creator posts more X than what I want. But it's better when things are grouped more similarly.
