Roads are essential part of the city - that's where you'll actually race! But hey, how do you make all these roads?

First of all, modern games use splines for this task, i.e. you just create road segments, draw your roads with splines and combine them all together. Best results are achieved with a special tool - road generator, it allows to build road network even faster and produce a more complex geometry. It also includes vertex paint setup to draw dirt and damage over the road, so final result will have a less repetitive look.

But if I'll try making this tool myself, it will take months! And it's time to your Patreon pledges - I bought these generators in the store and started to customize it to meet my own project needs.

There are some other challenges like process of making landscape material, fighting with UCX convex collision meshes, making a non-repeatable grass material, modifiying the geometry of over 50 road segments, etc. That's something I'll leave behind the scenes :)
