The first of many weekly reports!
So this week's been really busy, don't expect every week to be like this...
DISCORD
I've been counting and finishing up Spooktober, the main reason this isn't done yet was because of me moving out during Oct-Nov-Dec and only being able to do this now, with the help of a single friend.
I've also been thinking about changing up permissions on levelling as its been quite a complaint for sometime now...
STEAM WORKSHOP
I've been working on a huge update for my Meme Language mod, that's been aimed at changing every food in the game, I'm doing this so I can properly give a hiatus and focus less on maintaining my workshop to work on videos.
While on the topic; same goes to Lamb, the modded character that me and fluffles programmed years ago that has been on a subpar state lately, we've been working nearly everyday to wrap up this character and deliver a top notch quality mod.
MOSTLY so we can finally move on and not have to work on Lamb again...
(it gave Fluffles PTSD to work with spaghetti code and lua)
It's always been requested that I add Wolf and a ranged weapon for Lamb, and it's always been ignored cause of me and Fluffles lacking the knowledge with programming in this game to be able to deliver.
But this mod's been out and neglected for a good 3 years now, so I felt I should go back to the drawing board and redesign Kindred in a way that nobody will ever ask us to add new shit to it ever again!
PATREON MERCH
Lastly, I spoke about changes to Patreon page and it's Tiers on the yearly recap, but I want to add to it here:
If I forfeit +3% of my earnings to Patreon, I get to be a "Patreon Member", this unlocks many features, but the one that you're probably interested in is MERCH
Merch on Patreon works like this:
- I make a sticker, a mug, a poster, what have you.
- I assign this merch to one of my subscription Tiers.
- If YOU stay on that subscription for 3 months, you get that Merch.
Patreon takes care of global shipping, makes the merch and delivers to you, and also is responsible for packages lost or complications that may rise.
While this sounds interesting on paper, I want to know what you think, specially because I believe Ko-fi can also offer for me to open up a store, so I have yet to do research to see if Ko-fi would do it any different than Patreon. (I also have to research if patreon or ko-fi still deliver to Russia)
But what I want to know is, are you interested in getting merch, involving the tiers that we pretty much have established already? (poll below)
OF NOTE:
Patreon Merch is limited to: mini prints, stickers, mugs, organic tote bags, posters, t-shirts, neck gaiters, long sleeve shirts, hoodies.
So the real question should be: would you actually want a Dawn sticker, or a Dawn mug, or anything channel related?
You can also go back to your original tier after getting merch, so would you upgrade tiers to get merch, or do you think its just nice to have?
(for example, a sticker would be assigned to the Guardian Tier)
Please do leave comments if I'm being a dummy and <insert website> is way better at handling merch and I should be looking there instead.
