Oh wow! I’d completely forgotten I’d recommended this, so was delighted and surprised to get a shout out. I’ve found an image of the copy I had. It was definitely in the children’s section of the bookshop. The 70s was a great time for children to access horror in the UK. Loads of our tv was deeply weird: Tomorrow People, Children of the Stones, The Ghosts of Motley Hall.
