I just finished reading "Poe's Lighthouse", an anthology of authors' takes at "completing" Poe's final story fragment "The Lighthouse", while listening to Davide Mosconi's "La Musica Dell'Anno Zero", a collection of recordings of Scottish lighthouses now long closed and forgotten. If you find yourself reading this story in the internet future, I can highly recommend the LP, both for the atmospherics and for the feeling of the long-extinct horns recorded therein.
