Anonymous

And. Fuck you for taking my money bitch

You can tell you don’t listen to Joe. So it makes your takes so off. Like if ya gone talk about then actually listen so I don’t have to listen to and hour of bullshit about Joe and you can tell you ain’t listen cause he clearly states certain shit and y’all just talk about shit he ain’t say

Anonymous

Y’all really need biggie “What’s Beef” cuz this ain’t beef at all this is podcasts making money off of our enjoyment. But what the fuck do I know. same shit same month, y’all need to come up like Al, Andrew and Akaash then you wouldn’t focus on such small shit all mf day

Anonymous

Yeah as a fan of flagrant and JBP, i feel like flagrant looks stupid going after Joe because Andrew and Akaash have spoken so passionately about something that it is evident they have little actual knowledge of. The jokes don’t even hit because it’s clear there’s personal tension with flagrant being a branch of the Charlamagne tree. Like Akaash is the pot calling the kettle black tryna force jokes about Rory and Mal being side characters, which is really my problem with this “beef”. The hypocrisy is wild lol

Jason Donick

Who is paying you to do this honestly? Are you as stupid as Joe? What the fuck does Buddens bad business acumen have to do with anyone else but him he's a fool he set the terms - no holidays your fault no bonus it's not in your contract this is business NO Spotify is not gonna reward you for doing a good job because they didn't hire you to do a shit one Spotifys stock cost 175 in Aug '18 when Budden signed his deal in May '20 those same stocks only cost 180 and after Joe Rogan signed the shares shot up to 275... Charla went corporate Shultz went independent they both are doing better then Joe. Poor Joe hes scared he knows it over

Obviously another person that didn’t actually listen to the real conversation being had and just ran with a narrative. Joe was never arguing about his last contract. As a matter of fact he’s already fulfilled his obligation to it. He’s arguing that creators, specifically in podcasting, have leverage in a brand new industry in which the market hasn’t even been set yet. Creators really can demand ownership and transparency because they have all the leverage but corporations are trying to come with music industry standards. And when dumbasses talk about “he don’t deserve this or that” it actually fucks up the market for every podcaster and they don’t even know it. Joe is worth more than Andrew so I don’t understand the business argument. If anything Joe and Andrew’s missions are more aligned so it makes no sense why they’re even going at it

Jason Donick

What dont you understand Joe set his own terms - Joe undervalued himself Joe is the one that decided they dont deserve days off its business you dont get what you "demand" you get what you negotiate its simple. You are running with a narrative crying about Joe's feelings and intentions all hes been doing is whining see when dumbassess sign contracts when they dont understand business all that's left is feelings no facts

Anonymous

Once again, nobody was arguing about his last contract seeing as how he’s already finished with it, the argument is about his future ones and how he wants to change the landscape. You can’t talk about feelings no facts when that’s the basis of your argument

Jason Donick

What future one? You wrote a whole comment about corporations trying to use music industry contracts and creators not realizing there own potential and using their leverage to get what they deserve right? THATS JOE! he apparently turned down million dollar deals to sign with Spotify remember "I could of made yall millionaires" then he signed a contract for 2 YEARS and hit those numbers in one week (allegedly) so who? WHO? doesn't know their worth Spotify was a music streaming service wtf do they JOE was supposed to be the expert so WHY? would JOE sign a contract he knew was exploitive having been in the actual music industry for 10 plus years and complaining that whole time too years of documented rants about DefJam this is nothing new. C'mon the man is hurting- "the techy people are calling me asking if I'm ok??? I'm fine I'm good everything is ok all my techy friends still want to do business with me"- who you tryna convince Joe honestly? He shouldn't be looking for a contract he films a podcast out living room a deal for what advertising? Touring ?produce his merch? Fuckin guest appearances? Clearing samples and distribution? Tell me what the fuck this dude needs a deal for in the first place that's his problem.

Anonymous

Yes he turned down million dollar deals because they did not want to give him access to data that would give him leverage after the deal was over. Spotify was willing to give him that so he signed with them. It’s still in line with the message of ownership and creator freedom. The argument has never been about the money. He fulfilled that contract and after he outperformed it, Spotify came with a deal to OWN every piece of content that he or any of his cohosts create. His fight has been that no matter the dollar amount, the corporations don’t have the leverage to try and own him like they might be used to doing in the music industry. He’s said multiple times that he’s not even mad at Spotify cuz him and them will both be fine parting ways. The frustration comes from people calling him crazy and trying to devalue his business because he’s trying to push against the status quo. And it’s super weird when people like Andrew and Charla do it because that seems to be in line with the message they’ve been preaching for years too.

Jason Donick

Ya your not answering the question - 1. Why was he ever seeking a deal in the first place? 2. If Spotify refused to give him equity why did he sign the deal did he just discover the reality of ownership 6 months ago? HE JUST TURNED 40 how you blaming other men for your mistakes? 3.if he believed in himself why not by stock?- You could even negotiate an option to buy at the current price 1 year later 2 years later this is done all the time you take less money and ask for the option knowing you can convert that into millions later if your projections are correct.- THATS HOW YOU NEGOTIATE. That's how you show a company your serious. Cuz now there thinking why would he take less guaranteed money for an option unless he knew he was gonna make our value go up... It's a no brainer if hes wrong we pay less if hes right and he executes his option he pays us. I want you to understand I'm only still responding because you seem educated write well etc. But unless you can answer one of these questions I'll be done. Nonetheless this has been entertaining and I hope educational for you. 👌🏾
