I thought Akaash's point about how Indian and Chinese people can go back to get their real culture if they want is instructive. There isn't a parallel for American Black people because of the stripping of their native culture. Like Indian people and Mexican people and Chinese people can sell an americanized version of their culture but their actual culture is maintained separate from that. American Black people don't really have that option because the real culture is created now, in real time, constantly. So how can one make a white washed version to sell right now while still keeping the real culture alive when that culture is also being created literally right now? Tough question. That's the point that clicked with me the most though.
