This is the 2nd of 3 parts and it goes through the tools and concepts I am using in the final stage of this project. My paper here is Stonehenge I am drawing mostly with  graphite- and just a little bit of charcoal.

hi stephen i have this problem of locking in my shapes too early where im too attached too careful on designing them, what is your advice on this ? this mostly occurs when i move to value and structure, while on the block in i can be a bit loose and free and not stress too much if its perfectly the right shape because i know it wil be addressed and refined more on the later stages

i also think this is because im afraid to make changes right after i just fill in the holes of the paper and having that even tone, is filling in and having a super smooth tone not the concern yet for the value and structure stage?

I think that this aspect is mental. You have to develop that pragmatic edge. It isn't fun but eventually it's necessary. Once you have done it a few times the pain dissipates.
