Something you all should know about drawing and painting competitions- it takes a lot for you to put yourself out there. For me it is an honor to be able to assess and compare your entries. Thank you for taking this step and putting your work out there into the world!

Cornelia Hernes and I looked through all of the entries and after much deliberation have selected a portrait drawing by Ludmila Quiroga. Her portrait of Sasha shows us so much control and technique while simultaneously  showing a sensitivity to the life in the model's eyes. A truly exceptional portrait!
