In the past 2 months i looked into Autodesk Maya (2018), and started porting some characters from SFM over to this new software (which i have to say it takes some time).

Im looking to try and make more realistic animations in terms of textures, motion, lighting and basicly everything, AND STOMACH BULGES!

Maybe ill try to implement some of those muscle simulators that ive seen, but not sure yet, its still unknown teritory for me.

The learning curve is somewhat long and difficult so ill be trying to make my first few animations by the end of this year.

Right now as i stand i finished porting and texturing a few models (texturing as in with ambient occlusion, Subsurface Scattering and many other things to get them to look more realistic).

There are many things about textures that im still to learn but ill try to move forward slowly and surely

Ill upload some pics about what i worked past few weeks.

Femshep ported (and having Subsurface Scattering, which is the redness beneath the skin when something is too bright):

So im trying to learn Maya, i hope it will be successful because i want to make realistic animations...

One step at a time. Ill occasionally upload my progress here, when i make a new picture, or a new animation (even if not so good) or a test on something (such as bulge from collision), and so on.

Maya is a good choice! I learnt 3ds max myself. The payoff should be worth the learning curve.
