"Nina, get that one before he-," In a flash the monster is cut in half, the sickening sound of flesh being teared apart reaches my ears. "Screams for help..." I... These quests really have been enlightening.

I always knew my party members were incompetent of course. I mean, seriously? A mage who can only cast one AoE spell and then becomes useless? A crusader who can only defend, not attack? A healer who... well technically Aqua is an amazing healer.

But if you have spent more than one minute with her, you know she's a truly pathetic individual. She's also a very scary individual, who's willing to kill me so she can go flirt with that annoying ass bastard. In essence, Darkness and Megumin are useless, while Aqua is a menace.

That is why I do not know how to describe the feeling of having Eris and Nina work with me. No, I do know how to describe it, it's euphoric! Even when I did leave my idiots for a little while, like the time I worked with Dust's party... They just couldn't hold a candle to these two women.

Nina sheats her sword. "Well, that's another quest done!" Which is crazy. I can't believe we have actually completed more than just one quest today, my party members could never ever manage that.

I walk towards Nina. "Yeah, good work." Back when we got the quests in the guild, I actually wanted to call them a bunch of idiots. That's because they carelessly took half-a-dozen elimination quests, something which just screams leaving unfinished jobs.

And the quests weren't all that easy either, for example, the quest we just completed involves hunting down this surprisingly annoying monster who can call for help with his screams. The annoying part comes from the fact that the monster's helpers do not count for completing the quest... and also that the monster can kill you, of course.

But with Nina and Eris here... The monsters didn't get to show off their gimmick a single damn time. I could just picture in my head you know? My party blasting them with an explosion, but one survives and ruins everything... In summary, I love you Nina, I love you Eris. Please accept this humble Satou Kazuma into your hearts.

Nina snorts. "Well, someone had to do it. While you... you know... stood around and watched everything while being flabbergasted." Give me a break, this is the first time I'm seeing something so damn amazing.

Still, I know not to piss her off, so I bow. "Yes Mistress Nina! Thank you for eliminating those beasts!" She's the only beast here! I guess even overpowered parties have their crazy members in the end.

Nina is unbelievably strong, but she's also definitely a sadist who decided to pick on me for no reason. And the worst part is that I knew she was gonna be trouble from the moment we met, my Kazuma senses activated at that moment, sending a shock through my body.

In essence she gave me a bad feeling. She's still better than my party members though, both because she's actually competent and because she has not killed me yet. So even though I should despise her... For now I won't.

And about Eris' weirdness? That's easy to see too, she's a damn sex freak! Yesterday my poor baby virgin ears had to hear her and her annoying ass boyfriend going all night long...! It really isn't fair, where is my hot fit girlfriend? Didn't I kill a bunch of Demon Generals!? Why does he get the true Isekai experience and I don't!?

The blue haired girl actually pats my head. "No need to thank me." I have a feeling you would be super mad if I didn't. Also please stop patting my head, I'm not Darkness you know? I'm a normal man with normal tastes you know?

Before I can say anything, Eris appears by our side. "So, should we go to our next quest, or do you guys need a break?" I need this miracle to never end...! Seriously, if I could keep you guys as permanent party members, I would be rich in no time.

Nina sighs. "Let's give Kazu over here a break." I'm not tired though. "He looks super tired." I seriously am not. Also don't immediately sit down on the ground after saying that, it makes you look like you're the tired one here.

Eris simply nods however. "Okay. Well, I'll let Kazuma decide when we keep going." She then crosses her arms and stays up, contrary to her blue haired comrades. Honestly... please don't give me the power to decide when our break is over.

I'm naturally lazy, so I'll want to extend it as much as possible. "I'm not tired to be honest, so let's just wait for Mistress Nina over here to catch her breath." And after saying that, I sit down by the side of the girl in question.

Huh...? Why did I say I'm not tired? Shouldn't I have taken this opportunity to end the day...? I mean, we already completed almost all of our quests anyways, so it's fine right...? I should just go home, collect my earning and laze around for the rest of the day, so why did I...?

Ah, I get it. It's because for the first time I got here, I actually feel like an adventurer. A true one. Even if I'm mostly taking care of things like logistics and reading maps... For all their amazing skills, Eris and Nina can't actually read, so I had to take care of that too. 

But... even if they do lack that skill, there's no doubt that they're strong. So... there were no comedic moments where all my expectations where shattered in depressive ways, it really was as simple as going somewhere, completing a quest, and then repeating that process.

The blue haired swordswoman glares at me. "Watch with the snarky comment Kazu, I did all the work here." I blush and look away, I guess I can't deny that. Still, please lower down your rate of bullying, because my NEET heart can't take it!

Eris sighs. "Give the guy a break Nina, his Snipe skill is actually fairly useful and... he seems to be more of a support for dungeons anyways." I'm actually receiving compliments!? Today is crazy.

Nina huffs. "Whatever, he's certainly not living up to any legendary hero hype. I'm disappointed." Ouch, for some reason that actually hurts a little. But it's not like I'm trying to be some hero of legend anyways.

I have one simple goal, living an easy life! Bastards like the Demon King can go take a hike for all I care... Well, I'll still get mad if someone like Aqua easily gives up on killing him though. Being lazy is a privilege that only I should have, as a reward for how awful this world has been to me.

I shrug. "Sorry Mistress Nina, but I'm not trying to live up to any crazy expectations you have of me." I'm just a normal adventurer who until recently still lived on the town of beginners. Go bother that Subaru Natsuki guy if you wanted some hyper skilled bastard.

She frowns. "Shame..." I... For some reason my heart drops down. "So you're another Jino huh? Lots of talent, no drive." I have no idea who that is, but please don't compare me to him. It's obvious that I can stand on the same level as whatever meathead swordsman you know.

Eris interjects. "I actually think you were doing quite well Kazuma." What's this!? Bad cop and good cop!? Please say it ain't so, I have a bad history with law enforcement. "Nina doesn't appreciate this, since she's actually a newbie, but... you never lost your cool when trying to lead us." That isn't anything that impressive though.

She continues. "And you also helped us with actually preparing for the quest... You remind me of Rudeus in a way. You're definitely a pretty reliable guy." Ah! Why the hell did I have to receive such an amazing compliment from a girl who's taken!? What the hell is wrong with my luck!?

I blush and stammer, looking down. "T-thanks...! I try m-my best!" I can't even try some comeback... Because there was no comeback to be had. This was just a genuinely nice compliment to give me, and even my cynical self can see that.

However, for some reason Nina actually scowls. "Tsk, whatever." Just what the hell does this girl have against me!? Did my reputation as a pervert follow me all the way from Axel or something!?

It's a shame really, because I... Well, I would rather die than admit this to anyone, but Nina is actually quite pretty. Well, not that something such as that is a rarity in this world, but as I said before, I felt a shock then moment our eyes made contact, so I can confidently say this woman has stunned me with her beauty before.

My eye twitches. "Get off my ass for once, I did my part." Ah, shit...! I got mad for some reason, and ended up forgetting the Mistress part...! Please don't take away my Something-Calibur, I know some women have made fun of it's size, but it's all I have!

She immediately glares at me. "Don't forget the Mistress part." I'm sorry! "And..." A red blush appears on her face, the contrast it creates with her blue hair immediately makes my heart explode. "Yeah, you did a good job, I guess." Damn it, is this make Kazuma blush day or something!?

For some reason Eris actually chuckles. Is this the moment a popular girl makes fun of a virgin? Please don't let that be the case. "This... I wonder how Gal will look at this." Who the hell is Gal...? 

Nina's blush immediately disappears, as she looks away. "That's what I'm worried about too..." She looks at me, there's something strange in her eyes. "Hey Kazuma, do you think you're strong?" Me? strong?

Hell fucking no. My stats are trash, and so are my skills, and it goes without saying that I basically have no idea on how to use Chunchuma- my partner. I'm a guy who's desperately living off any gimmick he can find.

But for some reason I can't tell her that. "Yeah, give me the right tools and enough time, and I can beat anyone. It doesn't matter if it's a legendary Demon General or a country destroying machine, I'd win." What the hell is wrong with me!? Why did I decide to brag like that!?

It's not like I'm unused to bragging of course, but I typically do that after someone has already hyped me up, and Nina certainly didn't do that...! Now I spoke like an idiot who thinks he's invincible or something...! Shit, I just wanted to look cool...

Nina giggles. "Yeah, you have potential alright. You're apparently the reincarnation of the legendary hero Himmel after all." What's with you!? Choose a mood already...! I can't deal with you if you keep showing random faces!

Eris crosses her arms. "Who's Himmel anyways? I'm pretty sure I heard that name before..." No one that interesting, he jobbed and died apparently. The actual interesting part here is how you actually believe Aqua is a goddess.

You're wrong of course, she's the devil. Nothing but a predator who hides as a goldfish, but it's secretly a Kraken, but like... a Kraken with tentacles made out of knives. Yes, I'm still super pissed off Aqua killed me, how could you tell?

To my surprise Nina actually sounds excited. "He was a previous Sword God." That sounds way too cool for a guy who jobbed. "I grew up reading stories about him you know? They said he could have been the greatest Sword God in history... If he didn't die so soon." Well, I was in my way to be the greatest NEET in history, but I died too. That is too say, potential doesn't matter.

That isn't to say Himmel was weak of course, I know what it means to be a Sword God. The reason for that is that I searched about this guy before, I was obviously curious about who the previous me was, but... 

In the end he was just a loser who left some statues around. He became a Sword God, but never trained anyone. He was a legendary hero, but never actually beat anyone worthy of note. He also died a virgin, apparently... Yeah, he was my previous incarnation alright. All talk, no action. He should have given up and settled down instead.

Eris looks over to me, now she actually looks curious. "So you're a reincarnation of a Sword God...?" She closes her eyes for a moment, and then opens them back up, now filled with resolve. "Hey Kazuma, wanna spar...?" The answer to that is...

I immediately get up, basically jumping in position. "No! I like living...!" The reason I'm acting like this, is because I have spent enough time with Eris to realize she's a shounen meathead. So unless I throughly reject her, she will want to fight me.

I don't want to be anyone's Sasuke! So go back to that ugly eyed Hinata of yours before the Raikage Aqua steals her from beneath your nose...! Man, my years as an NEET really did rot my brain, didn't they?

Nina pouts. "You really have no desire to grow stronger, do you?" Of course I don't. The most I ever did was try to search for a sword instructor once I learned who Himmel was, but... It was too expensive, and too much of a time investment.

So instead I'll keep acting like a mage/thief hybrid, even if a very weak one. Because you see, there is one thing I do much better than that Himmel guy, I survive. That's right baby! Past me may have died with no glory, but I'll live with no glory!

Which is why I smirk. "I already told you, didn't I? I am strong. So I only have the desire to make money." I'm not strong at all! Why am I lying to her!? She saw how I pretty much just fumbled around during combat...!

Nina gets up too, and she slowly looks over to Eris. "Hey, can you give us a second alone?" Oh no, I have a feeling something bad is about to happen...! I knew I was gonna die once Nina and I went out looking for Inn's later, but this is too soon!

To my despair, Eris nods with a smile. "Of course, you gave me and Subaru space everytime we needed after all." This is a pretty different situation from you getting fucked by your boyfriend! Seriously, I'm about to get fucked by her sword!

I raise a hand. "Wait a second Eris, I-!" She leaves in a flash, shutting me up. I really, really hate speedsters. And I'm also really jealous of them, like seriously, I'm fairly agile, but blurring out of my vision is just ridiculous.

Nina puts her hand on one of her sword's hilt, she actually carries two... "I heard you beat that super strong Mitsurugi guy in a duel." I can see where this is going, and I definitely don't like it. Since as previously said, she carries two swords, the steal trick won't work on her.

Which is why I need to find another way out of this. "He was just an idiot carried by strong equipment, you could have done the same." I don't know if that's actually true of course, disarming Mitsurugi would be a lot harder without my specific skill.

She tilts her head. "Really now...? Last I heard he was one of Belzerg's greatest warriors." That's because Belzerg sucks ass. If even I can sort of make it there, anyone can... Seriously, Aqua is surviving that place.

Still, I swallow the saliva that's building up in my mouth, and put a hand on Chunchun-, my partner's hilt. "Well, you shouldn't trust rumors! They are things created by a dark society to trick people!" How should I go about this...?

Maybe I can try the classic speedster strategy of freezing the ground so she slips? But if she slips towards my direction I'm dead anyways... I need to buy some space, I can't hide with Lurk here since it's a pretty open field, but if I manage to make distance between us the freeze strategy might be worth it. 

Her eye twitches. "You calling me an idiot, idiot?" Ah, it's the punk thing all over again! She actually reminds me of the guy who stole my childhood friend... Except that she's actually cute. That won't save her from the ass beat I'm about to lay down upon her of course.

Suddenly she takes her hand off her sword. "Kazu..." She blushes and looks away, looking beautiful... What the hell is this!? My heart is about to explode damn it! Were you not clearly about to beat me up!?

Oh, this must be a trap. I could tell with one look that Nina was similar to me, so she must be trying to lead me on. The moment I lower down my guard, she will turn my Something-Caliburn into a brand new Something-Avalon.

Still, as she gets closer to me, I can't do much of anything. "Kazuma." I think for the first time ever, she has addressed me by my actual name. "From now on, everyday we are going to train together. Got it?" Hah?

That sounds like a massive pain in the ass though...! But it's better than having that ass being cut until it can't feel pain at all, so I hesitantly nod. "Okay...? Where did this come from?" I can't understand delinquents at all.

Now, I know some people might call me a delinquent as well, but I'll have you know that those are false allegations! I'm just a poor Japanese non-student trying to make his way through this dark and cruel world.

She sighs. "You... just had a cool look, that's all." I did!? "And..." Suddenly she glares at me with full force. "Don't question your Mistress, next time you do so, I will show you how orcs act." That's scary! What is that even supposed to mean!?

She takes a step back smiling. "Okay then Kazuma, if you impress me enough in the following months, I'll marry you, okay?" Wow, that seems like a pretty decent deal, does it also come with a pussy offer?

Wait a moment! "Hah!? The hell are you talking about!?" Seriously, wasn't she about to beat me up earlier!? Where did this attitude come from!? Did she... did she put me in a coma and now I'm dreaming!?

She clears her throat, her face completely red. "To tell the truth, I like you. So I want to marry you." A girl... a girl just said she likes me... That's insane... But isn't the marriage thing a bit too soon though!? I'm not the type of guy who will marry just to get some ass you know!? Yeah, not even I believe that one.

She continues. "But I'm the daughter of the Sword God, I can't just marry any weakling..." For real!? "Which is why... I'm gonna train you until you can beat my dad. I think you have the talent, you just lack the drive... So work hard for your Mistress! That's an order by the way!" Seriously did my popular phase begin suddenly!?

I sputtering, as one would expect. "H-hey, I didn't say yes to your little proposal, so...!" I'm sorry that I mocked all anime protagonists who would say no to this! Now that I'm in the same type of situation, I'm scared.

She grins, it looks degenerate. "Kazu... your consent never mattered~." I don't want to become a man so soon!
