ROD progress UPDATE (Patreon)

i'm really excited to share that i've not only been feeling better mentally lately, but i've been getting a lot of work done on my rewrite of the Ride or Die outline! it's making a lot more sense plot-wise, and feels like it's coming together the way it was always meant to.

i'm trying a slightly different method for this rewrite, where i'm actually writing it out as if it were a novel instead of just script format. even though it's still just for my own understanding of the story, it feels like it's helping me to visualize the scenes a little clearer. here's a preview:

nothing impressive enough on its own for an actual novel imo, but a great stepping block for a comic

i've just finished writing chapter 6, and i estimate maybe 10 chapters all together in the end. after this first draft is complete, i'm gonna send it to some trusted friends for feedback, edits, and by then i'll be ready to continue drawing the pages.

thanks for being patient yall!! i was nervous about doing this rewrite but it's definitely helping the story. i think i was just leaving a little too much up in the air before, and now i'm really nailing down some characters and worldbuilding elements.

writing is going well and i should be finished with this first draft this or next week. then i'll try actually drawing more stuff for patreon while the writing's being reviewed.
