So, because this DID bother me when Claire did this last time, YES, alcohols IS a word. And yes, it is just the plural of alcohol. One type of alcohol, many types of alcohols. And to further this discussion from a scientific/chemistry stand point, there are many types of alcohols that humans CANNOT drink, such as isopropyl alcohol, butanol, pentanol, hexanol, methanol, etc. These are the GROUP ALCOHOLS. As in have an -OH at the end of a carbon chain. So yes, you can also have many alcohols in an alcohol store, as well as the chemistry supplier. Similarly, peoples is very much a word. “The Inuit and Mayans are two Native American peoples with vastly different cultures.”
