Hey all! Here's a (very) early preview of the next Epithet stretch goal. This song, Bubblegum Renegade, is set an an alternate universe styled after the 1950s. It's about Trixie, who in this universe is feared as the nefarious "Bubblegum Renegade", a punk who nobody wants to mess with.

Artwork and animation for the song will be done by prominent Epithet fan artist Luveygold and music by HvnterBass.

This audio is the composer testing out different flavors of song over my very bad and off-tempo demo. The final version of the song will be sung by Bryn Apprill as Phoenica, Dani Chambers as Molly, Marissa Lenti as Stink, and Lindsay Sheppard as Stonk/Skull Shirt Kid.

No idea when this will be done, tbh! Late August would be nice but I'd also call that "the earliest it could possibly get finished". Let's assume something closer to like late September.

Is Feenie supposed to be the New Girl? I guess she had to transfer to a public school because of PAMFA.

I read Trixie and my mind immediately wandered to "Do they scam people with cheap but real magic tricks?"

Bran Garbaj

Very excited for this (not as excited as I am for the eventual Giovanni songs but close)

OHH MAN I YELPED IN PUBLIC SEEING THIS. AUGH AUGH AGUH. I apologize if this is an obvious No question but are we allowed to create and post fanart of these designs?

I thought that Trixie's scrunchie was handmade by Feenie. If this is their first meeting, shouldn't she not have it yet? Same with Feenie's jinglebow.

Classic JelloApocalypse move to make the last rhyme of the demo "Lemonade". Truly the pickle on top of this sweet concoction.

I'm honestly having SO much trouble rhyming "renegade" with ANYTHING in an elegant fashion. That's the only rhyme that I think works so far.

God, why are all the songs in this franchise such a bop?!

Anonymous

Yeah, the only things that immediately come to mind for three syllables and that "ade" sound would be masquerade and barricade. Maybe there's a metaphor about Trixie letting down walls/a mask around friends, but making that work in song form is tough. Best of luck with the lyrics!

I’m listening to the PREVIEW of a song that doesn’t even have a release date for the 4th time in 24 hours. help me I’m too addicted to this franchise

I'm not even kidding when you sang the snip during the Name That Tune string I've been singing the "Straight A student in a poodle skirt" verse when I'm working ever since. In other words I am hyped for this song.
