Epithet Erased - "Great at Cowboy" [Official Extended Version]

Vocals - Dawn M. Bennett Lyrics - Brendan Blaber Music - PLASTERBRAIN Mix - HvnterBvss Art - Oz Ryan === LYRICS === At the stroke of sundown There's a shadow in the wood Not sure what she's up to But you know it ain't no good She's a demon, she's a devil, She's a rough-and-tumble rebel Yeah, she's far beyond your level and She's watching you... Oooh, ooooh... In the gloamy orange light You won't live to see the night In the woods you hear a whisper Could it be the Phantom Drifter? There's a chance you went n' missed her Just don't turn around... In a flash she's there behind you Out of sight and out of mind And now no one will ever find you Buried six feet down... Staring at the sundown A green flash of memory In the lambent light I spy My ma, my pa, and me We were diggin’ for a dino ‘Neath a sunny morning sky, though Lookin’ back now only I know What it’s gonna be… Oooh, ooooh... They unearthed that golden box From the dirt and bone and rock And the Banzais came a-crawlin’ What they did then was appalling’ Golden hunger ever-callin’ Needing to be fed And those yellow-bellied cowards Saw that ma ‘n pa were showered With a lead rain and the flowers Were a blooming red -- (whistle break) -- Summers full of sundowns Winters flew by like the leaves Little girl grew up alone And learned to shoot the breeze Moved from drillin’ on to killin’ Made her livin’ as a villain Heart is broke, but body willin’ And the gun’s for hire Someone said “Your gun’s misguided” Had a fight that was one-sided Eye-to-eye they both Kaleid-ed Came down to the wire… She’s a demon… she’s a devil… Finally someone on her level Found a base to match her treble Now she comprehends And the dawn, she starts to brighten Finally knows why she is fightin’ On her own she was a titan Now she’s among friends… Ooh… Oooooh.

Lol i didn't see the previous post explaining that this song is the backstory of the mighty zora salazar. Apologies but again great song.

I also noticed that instead of the more conventional spelling of Collided, the choice was to go with Kalied-ed, which remind me of something like a kaleidoscope. I'm sure there is a double meaning there somewhere.

this puts a lot of insight into zoras role in redwood run, amazing video :)

Hey Jello, I’ve tried everything else I can think of to message you, but I received a broken link for my ebook and haven’t been able to access it :(

I'm guessing bullets were either changed to be non-lethal sometime later or the Banzai's had epithets which made the bullets do much more then minor impact damage.

From what I've gathered from Jello's live streams; The Banzai Blasters meant serious buisness back in the day. They were basically war vets that didn't have a war to fight so the resorted to deadly mercenary work.

This is really fantastic! So glad to have some clarification of Zora's backstory and her position in Bliss Ocean.

It's intersting that an even fight is what got her, I wonder how she would of reacted to being stomped. Also it's funny how we all are like "how did bullets kill people" when there are so many ways for that to happen

It's representing the kalediscopic eyes of the Bliss Ocean leader. We catch a glimpse of their silhouette with the eyes at the very end of Redwood Run, and their text icon seen at the end of the sweet jazz museum is the same kind of colorful pattern with the bliss ocean logo. And of course, the official music video shows a similar silhouette with those eyes, further indicating they're likely the same person.

This is honestly so much cleaner than how AC did it originally, and it's nice for some people to be in the loop now insead of waiting for the one of the last episodes of the entire series. There were... SO many backstory segments crammed into the very tail end of AC, it's super refreshing to see them just nicely spaced out now with proper hindsight and planning.
