Never played a trails game before, heeeere we *GOOO* Rean's grand-uncle Shrek was a spy for the Nonoya people. Why's Shrek in a Trails game? Nonoya business.

Never played a Trails game, so I'm just going off my knowledge of JRPGs Twist ending: you and your class finally defeat the big bad evil guy, emotional Japanese music plays, and the final curtain closes. Suddenly the camera pans down to our protagonist at the begging of the first game in his bed. He freaks out trying to figure out what just happened. He goes to class and knows exactly what happens during the lesson. The screen is overlayed with a sepia filter as a title crawls down. Cold Steel Warriors 1, releasing 2024. As players freak out and rush to Twitter, the developers reveal that the entire series will be remade as 4 dynasty warriors games, following the plot to a tea with the exception that the main character knows all the events of the story, but a poorly explained magic curse stops him from telling anyone about it or making any actions to alter the course of events. The first 4 games were all just a dream that a poorly explained plot ghost gave him.

Is there a transcript somewhere of all the character names that get read out over each other as they crush Rean to death? I can't get past Elliot before it becomes impossible to pick out, and I *gotta* know what your dunk on Kurt was. (Also, I already have and am 15 hours into the game, but twist ending: everything turned out to be Towa's elaborate machiavellian scheme to take power for herself, because nobody else in this entire world can keep their shit under control for like a whole year without causing one or more apocalypses. She's sick of it!)

I'll be including these in the outtakes/extras once I have time/voice to record them in a day or two! Towa being the Grandmaster is non-ironically the best possible twist Trails could pull.
