Here's my unedited thoughts on all of the Pokemon movies! As per usual these are spoiler-heavy, unfiltered, unedited, and have some explicit language. So uh... if you don't want to know which movies Ash dies in... don't listen! (It is 5 movies)

I will say, not from the movies but from the anime for the sun and moon region ash is meeting tapu coco at the end of the episode and he's all excited and then tapu coco just shrieks and it giving cracks me up just hearing it go "TAPU COCOOOOOO!" kills me.

I will say, Ash wanting to be a “Pokémon Master” and not a “Pokémon Champion” is something that gets carried on in the anime. Because after he becomes champion, he’s unsure what he wants to do. And after he meets up with Misty and Brock, all three of them just fuck off and help a bunch of Pokémon for thirteen episodes. And after all that, Ash decides to go on another journey helping a bunch of Pokémon around the world. Which goes with the theme Journeys was trying to do for the most part. So it basically gives you what you want.

Why Mewtwo Strikes Back is A+ material, straight up 7/10: "I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are." In a *kids movie*. How to teach kids good and stuff, right there.

Man I haven't been able to find the Japanese subbed versions of the first three movies ever. I still love pokemon 2000 out of nostalgia but I agree its premise is dumb XD I really have to rewatch the third movie. I think people mainly ship Misty and Ash thanks to that "Misty's Song" from the English pokemon album thing lol I haven't watched any of the movies past Pokemon Heros so I don't have to much to say on them, but I enjoyed the reviews XD

do you think you could retroactively add your opinion on The Power of Us? Before i saw it all i ever heard about it was that "It's The Power of One again but BETTER" and stuff like that, but... it's not. it's not at all. The only thing they have in common is Lugia and it's not even the same Lugia. There isn't even a villain, everything that happens is basically because of miscommunication and bad luck. And its premise, the "Everyone can be a hero" feels so, pointless. Like, in the end everyone did a good, but like they never had a CHOICE in the matter, they all did a good because they HAD to not because they chose to. Oh yeah, the stakes are also lowered from "The end of the WORLD" down to "The end of TOWN"

In Master of Mirage Pokemon, the actress playing Ash actually has a good amount of roles under her belt, including a supporting role from the anime "Now and Then, Here and There", and that show aired in America a few years before MMP, so this was not her first time acting. I believe it was more the direction's fault than anything, but that's just me.
