Hey! It's been a long time since I just sat down and did a text post here. Almost a year, actually! So here are my plans for this summer and what it means for you guys:

Right now I'm packing up for a 14-hour drive this Tuesday to move down to Texas, where it's 100 degrees every day! Hooray! Can't wait to die! I'm moving to the Dallas area because they've got some local voice acting work down there and I'm trying focus more on professional VA work as a side job while I keep doing YouTube stuff. My goal is to be in at least two things by this time next year! We'll see how that goes!

Because I'm moving and getting settled this month, not much else will be happening in June. It's mostly just preparation for future projects.

Other stuff coming down the pipeline:

  • T-Shirts! - I've been trying to get a merch store of some kind up for like 3 years, and I'm finally pretty close to doing it! Personally I don't like merchandise but other people seem to, so I'm shopping around and trying to find good online storefronts. (I tried one last year as a test run but the shirts are already pretty washed out and the colors were limited). Hopefully this'll be set up by late June. Some examples:

  • Pokemon Movie Marathon Reviews will be the next video I'll be releasing! I'm changing the format on this one and it's going to be a collaboration with a special musical guest who had a small appearance in one of our previous videos! Can you guess who it is?
  • So This is Basically Kingdom Hearts will be coming out at some point, probably mid-August! I'm not quite familiar enough with the series to write a script for it just yet, so I'm going to purchase a PS4 and plow through two or three of the games before writing it. I've watched through the cutscenes of 3 of the games so far and every time I complain that it's literally the worst storytelling I've ever seen people say "You just don't get it! You need to play the game to understand and get ALL the character interactions!" So I am determined to play through the games in full and then decisively tell them it's terrible storytelling.
  • Cornucopia, my webcomic (which you can read here), is almost done with its first chapter! Just 5 more weeks of work, then I get to take a break and finalize the designs/script for the second one! Nuco will be taking a break for awhile (likely a few months) so I can build up a large set of buffer pages (at least 12) and set up some other long-term projects.
  • Long-term projects like... my big secret project that is still in infancy. I won't say much about it, but I will say that it's a new show that follows a single story format (not like StiB or Welcome To) and I'm going to be blowing a good deal of money on its production. More updates on that when it's further along!

Also of note: I have two small changes to my Patreon that won't necessarily effect you guys but you might want to be aware of them. First off, I got rid of the Milestone Goals recently. I wrote them over a year ago before I really had any sense of what Patreon would be like and most of them just don't make sense anymore with my current workload. For instance, the next goal was "A New StiB Every Month!" When I wrote that goal StiBs were about 2 minutes in length and not especially hard to produce, especially with two people working on them. Nowadays they average 4-5 minutes in length and have WAY more production value. They often feature VA work and original sound design/music. Trying to smash that all into a 4-week period would be a nightmare for everyone involved and the scripts would be much less funny.

Second, I'd like to announce that Tip of the Tongue's final episode will be Episode 20. Will and I like running TotT, but to be honest we're running out of stuff to talk about! I'd like to touch on art/character design, but an audio-based medium isn't the way to go about doing that. Not to mention seeing half the videos in my channel's RECENT UPLOADS folder being a podcast and not my main work makes me feels like I'm failing to output content. So if you have questions or topics you'd like us to cover, submit them sooner rather than later!

I also need to do another Expense Report so you guys know where your money is going. For example, So This is Basically Fire Emblem cost somewhere between $3600-3800! These things are getting expensive :O

Thanks for reading and for all your support!

Devastated that you'll be ending Tip of the Tongue, but at the same time I understand and fully respect your reasons for doing so. I'm looking forward to the last few episodes of it regardless! You probably wouldn't be able to get a full episode out of it, but it'd be nice if you touched on home studios at some point (e.g. looking at recording in a closet against taking the plunge to making your own DIY booth, putting foam up in a room vs getting a contractor to do it, the costs involved compared to how worthwhile it is, etc.)

Can't wait for that Secret Project.

jelloapocalypse

We've debated covering this but honestly there's nothing we could say that isn't already out there in a more condensed format online. It always basically turns into "get a way to make a booth out of cheap foam and make it yourself while googling the individual steps."

Will there be any replacement podcast for Tip of the Tounge? I like having a thing to listen to, by people I like listening to Ps: I love these update posts

Yeah maybe Jello could switch out TotT for some sort "Thoughts on..." on various subjects with Will and/or other guests. The ones he releases on his StiB are already decent listening.

Ignis Astrorum

Wonder if the secret project is the idea/wish he had at the end of Anime Campaign about making that into some sort of series thing?
