Hello again, everyone! Here's what I got done this week:

  • Fixed any asymmetry between the eyes' weight painting and normals
  • Fixed an issue with the eye holes expanding when subdivision is turned up
  • Fixed an issue with the eye textures expanding when subdivision is turned up
  • Rigged the eyebrows
  • Rigged the teeth
  • Rigged the inner cheeks so they don't leave the mouth while pulling the lips
  • Rigged the gums, roof of the mouth, and floor of the mouth so they only respond to the jaw and/or head
  • Fixed the jaw pivot location so it opens properly
  • Rigged the jaw so it's smoother when opened and has no influence on the neck or shoulders
  • Rigged the ears
  • Rigged the nose
  • Added a bone for the uvula and rigged it

TL;DR: I finished the face rigging! :D

This time I don't have any gifs to show off, unless you guys are interested in watching a bunch of facial features moving around. But why show those off in gif form when I could just show them off in the form of an animation?

And that just so happens to be up next on my to-do list! This animation will feature Slagathor's brand new facial animation (although it won't be the primary focus). However, I can't just jump into the animating part. Like the last animation, there are some assets I'll need to make.

That's where you guys come in.

All we have right now is a base mesh -- no hair, no clothes; just a blank slate. I was gonna design a character myself, but I figured... why not let you guys in on the fun? And so, ladies and gentlemen, starting on Sunday, we'll have our first ever...

"Build-A-Giantess" Week!

I'll have more details about it in my next post, coming here shortly. I'm gonna get to preparing that while also preparing my mouth for some Taco Bell! I'll see you guys again very soon with more details!
