Hello everyone!

Let me begin by apologizing for the lack of updates these last few weeks. I entered a bit of a slump, but I'm back out and working hard on the CG update! This update is a bit tricky since I can't give progress pictures without spoiling the CG, so I'll have to stick with boring old words for now. :P

The CG system itself is nearly finished as are the gallery and the dialogue system, and the line art for the CG images is done for three out of the five. Coloring and shading tend to go much faster than the line art.

That's all I have for the update for now, but I'd like to know how you guys are doing. Mental health is extremely important, especially during a stressful time like this. I hope you're all well and have plenty to do to keep the boredom away. :)

Doing mostly okay over here. Had my wisdom teeth removed on Monday. So I guess I can say, that I am keeping boredom at bay... more or less. xD

Oof, I've had my wisdom teeth pulled, too. How's the recovery process going?

No need to apologize man. I think a lot of people are feeling that quarantine slump. I know I am XP. I think not being able to see the updates just makes me more excited to see the finished product! And as for how I’m doing, I’ve been alright. Mostly just trying to practice drawing. I’m not putting in as many hours as I would like though. Too many distractions! I hope you’re doing well too

Thanks, I really appreciate that. ^_^ Oh, that reminds me of our discussion on DA about work discipline! I've been experimenting over the last couple of weeks, and I've determined what works (for me, at least): #1: The palette cleanser (very important). Exit out of all distractions and walk around for about five minutes while thinking about what you want to accomplish. This has gotten me out of quite a few couch potato moments. #2: Make a list of a bunch of small milestones that you wish to accomplish (the smaller and more broken up a task is, the better). Next, set a number to finish in a week based on what you think you can handle. Now, accomplish that number of tasks every week and treat yourself with a reward. I have mine set to 3 with tasks like finishing parts of a drawing (line art, color, and shading each count as one), finish prototyping a system in Grape Escape, finish art assets for one portion of Grape Escape, etc. #3 (in case #2 doesn't work): Set a daily or weekly timer. Anytime you're working, that clock is ticking down. Reward yourself when it hits zero either on a daily basis or a weekly basis. This one didn't work so well for me, but it might for you. #4: Motivate yourself by looking at others' work. Sometimes you just need to see some completed projects to get yourself back into gear. Just make sure not to compare your art to theirs on too critical a scale, otherwise it could have a negative effect on motivation. Thanks for reading my TED Talk.
