The UI update is nearing completion! I'm seriously considering calling this the "slow update," since at this point it's probably taken more time than the base game itself. 

For the last week or so I've been working on an audio manager so that I can play SFX and music from anywhere with just a line or two of code, all while containing the sounds in a single place. This has been a LOT harder than I thought it would be.  I've got the SFX nice and organized, but the music is a little trickier with its behavior.

So that's the bad news. The good news is that this is the last large task of the update! Once this is done, it's smooth sailing. And the best part? I'll never have to do this again in future games, save for some optimization. This could very well be the longest update I'll ever have for micro games (and maybe even small games).

I'd also like to take this opportunity to tell you guys how the updates will be released, since I've recently sat down and weighted the options. The Tiny Tier ($20) will always be one update ahead of public release, which means everyone outside of the Tiny Tier (including non-patrons) will get 1.2 once 1.3 is released to the Tiny Tier. I will also do my best to upload mini-updates for the Tiny Tier when I've made progress with it (i.e. in the Upgrade Update, I'll probably post an update every time an upgrade has been successfully implemented).

This has been quite a mouthful, but I feel rather bad for this update being so long and uneventful. I've been itching to make some actual progress, since like you guys, I want to see what this game becomes, and I'm even more excited for the games that come after it! Just a little more time, and the dam holding back all the fun stuff will break!

Now then, time to figure out this darn audio manager...
